“Blue and ochre twinklings”
The lighting project of the pedestrian zone of Neuchatel took place in three steps:
- The masterplan of the city centre
- The highlighting project of the pedestrian zone
- The technical development of the project
An exploratory night walk and on-site trials were organised.
Radiance35 worked on four levels:
- The “backdrop” (=the public lighting). The aim was to bring an atmosphere and a suitable lighting on three areas: the pedestrian centre, the riverbanks of the lake, and the museum square.
- The emblematic buildings: harmonise the tones and have sober interventions;
- The fountains: highlight them according to their characteristics and design;
- The water prints: materialise water with blue light.
