The Publémont is a symbolic place of the founding of Liège and its hill illumination is based on structuring of the night-time landscape from the bottom (with some ramparts and the tower of the hill illuminated) until the top.
The climbing of the Mont Saint-Martin street is punctuated by the red light of some brick gables and the white light of certain white or blue stone façades.
A white light highlights the Saint-Martin Basilica which makes it as visible by night as it is by day, and this from all over the city.
