The Marché aux Fromages street is a unique and lively tourist street in the heart of Brussels.
It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and 7 of its buildings are listed.
Our project has three main focuses: firstly, Atrium’s parallel project which aims to standardise the shop windows and signages; secondly, the street lighting is being renewed (changing to stylish luminaires of the same model as those on the Grand-Place and replacing the current yellow-orange sources with white ones); and thirdly, soft scenographic lighting at the top of the façades highlights the main features of the street, namely the full/empty relationship, the façades and their rhythms.
This music score of vertical linear elements enlivens the street and gives it a unique appearance.
